What is a xenon or HID kit??

They are light conversion kits having each kit containing all of the vital pieces to change your headlamps from halogen lamps to xenon or hid cars, trucks or motorbikes lights.

Why exchange my illumination?

Hid illumination lamps have been shown to be better than normal bulbs having the same wattage by up to 3 times more brightness which leaves the driver the capability to distinguish the route upfront better. This is evidently much better and furthermore ensures night journeys are not as stressful as they could be.

Hid stands in place of high intensity discharge and xenon is the label given to the gas enclosed in and surrounded by the bulbs glass. Some prefer to make use of the name HID kits others preferring to make use of the name xenon kits, they both mean the precisely same thing.

The hid or xenon changing kit will hold each of all the needed bits necessary for modifying between halogen and xenon electric light. Also enclosed in the kit will be all of the cables and connections desired for installing and linking the bulbs and electric supply. A pair or two solitary ballasts will be incorporated which ought to be used to run the bulbs and they simply run in the same method as a starter in a neon electric tube. They swap the power given to the bulb to the right voltage and rating needed to make it work fittingly.

A digit preceded by an H like H1 is a reference to the bulb fitting socket and they occur anywhere in the range from H1 to H12. These will be precisely the same numbers as utilised by halogen bulbs which also appear in H fixtures. They will be easily used to pair your bulb to the socket in your auto to make sure the bulb you obtain fits your car when you require a new one. The symbol W stands for the element of power named a watt, the more the numeral is increased the more power the bulb will make use of. With hid bulbs becoming brighter excessively great ratings are not vital with 35W and 55w ending up the most widely held ones used in the majority of cars, anything going over the 55w size is a bit unwarranted.

K measures Kelvin and is a rate of warmth so a 1600k hid bulb simply means a lamp in which the xenon burns at 1600 degrees Kelvin.

Compatibility with your vehicle:

The first thing you need to check is whether the HID kit will be compatible with your car or truck. You need to check the bulb type used for your vehicle's original headlights (high-beams, low-beams, high-and-low beams or fog lights

Top 5 benefits of installing HID Kits:

  • Last longer: HID kits include special HID bulbs that have no filament (unlike halogen bulbs). This means they last up to 10 times longer than regular bulbs. That's 7500 hours versus 750 hours for regular bulbs.

  • More light: HID kits produce 3 to 4 times more lights than regular headlights. This is 3400 lumens versus 900-1200 lumens for regular bulbs.

  • Easy to install: Real plug-and-play kit such as these HID Kits can be installed in 15-30 minutes and require no modification to the electrical system of your vehicle.

  • Use less power: Good quality 35W HID kits use only 35W of power versus 55W for regular halogen bulbs. This means they run cooler and use less power from the vehicle's electrical system.

  • Looks good/cool: HID Kit look much better than regular bulbs because of the white/blue light that they produce. You can tell that a car or truck has HID light from far away. They give style and class to any vehicle they are installed on.

What should I do if want to get only High or Low Beam with HID Xenon? what about if I want both?

First, I want to let you know, there is Single beam and Dual Beam Bulb(BI-Xenon) types.
a) If your car use one bulb to give High beam and another bulb to give Low beam, that means your current bulb is Single beam model, so it should be one of these types: H1/H3/H4(HB2)/H7/H11/9004/9005(HB3)/9006(HB4)/9007/880/881.
You should buy the HID KIT accordding to your current bulb types. While, one KIT can give you only High Or Low, if you want both, you have to buy 2 sets.
b) If your car use one bulb to give both High and Low beams, that means your current bulb have two filaments, or we called it Dual Beam Bulb, so you should buy a BI-Xenon HID Kit, like H4-3(HB2),9004-3,9007-3,H13-3. You should buy the Bi-Xenon HID KIT accordding to your current bulb types. Bi-Xenon bulbs are telescopic model, it can move so you can have one bulb to give you High and Low. One set of BI-Xenon HID KIT can give you both High and Low with HID.
c) There is another bulb type, H4-2(HB2), this kind of bulb is similar to H4-3, it can give you both High and Low beam, but one of the beam is halogen, another is HID. If your car use H4 type bulb to give both High and Low, you can buy H4-2 or H4-3 HID KIT.

Why can't I just replace the halogen bulb in my vehicle with XENON HID lamps without having to purchase the entire kit?

Motorcycles and automobiles currently use a 12 Volt electrical system for their headlamps. XENON HID lighting systems require over 20,000 volts to ignite the bulbs.
Once lit, they only require 85 volts to keep running.
Our kits include a power pack that is necessary for the lamps to turn on. The input of the power pack is 9-16 volts. It is an integral part of the system.
You DO NOT require any additional components to install the XENON HID lamp into the original socket of the halogen bulb.

Could I not just purchase a stronger watt halogen bulb to get a brighter light?

XENON H.I.D. lamps are 35 watts while traditional halogen bulbs are 55 watts.
Even though XENON H.I.D. lamps draw less current, they produce 3 times the light output as the higher wattage halogen bulbs.
Increasing the wattage will make the bulb a little brighter but still much dimmer that the XENON HID lamps. Also, AMPS = (BULB WATTS X 2) / BATTERY VOLTAGE OUTPUT (12).
So as you increase the wattage on your bulb you increase the current draw on your entire electrical system.
This is critical in motorcycle applications.

What is colour temperature?

Many people believe that the higher the colour temperature the brighter the lamp. This is totally wrong.
The colour temperature is purely a scale to measure the colour of the light output. It is a reference purely for colour and could equally be called White, Green or Blue.
The reality is the higher up the scale the lamps are the less bright they become. 5200K lamps are approx 10% brighter (measured in Lumens, not degrees K) than the 7000K.
If you want lighting performance the 5200K HID lamps are the best. In our opinion 7000K has the best and most attractive light output.

What is the difference between genuine XENON HID lights and Xenon gas-filled bulbs?

High Intensity Discharge (H.I.D.) is a type of lighting technology that replaces the filament of the light bulb with Xenon gas. The gas is ignited to produce an arc of light, when high voltage is applied. The amount of light output is three times that of a standard halogen bulb. The lamps also glow at a higher light temperature (closer to natural sunlight) that gives it its distinct color and appearance.
Other companies produce halogen bulbs that are gas-filled. They still have a filament as they are halogen technology, but the gas gives the bulb a bluer color when lit. Xenon-filled halogen bulbs produce little or no more light output than standard halogen bulbs of the same wattage.
"It should be noted that halogen technology is not comparable to the Xenon discharge technology, fitted as original equipment to more and more of the world's finest cars. " - Philips
They are not a true XENON H.I.D. light system.

How can Bi-Xenon give me both High/Low with HID Xenon?

Bi-Xenon bulbs are telescopic model, it can move so you can have one bulb to get both High and Low and both of them are Xenon HID.
While there is also a bulb type, H4-2, this kind of bulb is similar to H4-3, it can give you both High and Low beam, but one of the beam is halogen, another is HID.
If your car use H4 type bulb to give both High and Low, you can buy H4-2 or H4-3 HID KIT.

Could I re-install the original halogen bulbs after the XENON H.I.D. kit has been installed?

With the growing popularity of leasing vehicles, a big concern is whether or not you can bring the vehicle back to its original factory condition.
Our kits install with little or no modifications to your vehicle.
If need be, the entire kit can be removed and the original halogen bulbs replaced. This kit can be re-installed into another vehicle that uses the same bulb size.

Will I lose the ability to use the High beams?

All originally supplied XENON H.I.D. lighting systems from automotive manufacturers use a dual bulb configuration for High and Low beam. A traditional halogen bulb is used for the High beam while a XENON H.I.D. lamp is utilized for the Low beam. Our kits are intended to replace the Low-beam components of the lighting system while still keeping the High beam halogen bulb fully operational.
Some vehicles use a single halogen bulb for both the High and Low beam (like H4). We offer a kit for these vehicles as well, but the functionality of the High beam is eliminated. We are also offering the Dual Beam / Hylow H4 kit where both High and Low beam are preserved.
An alternative to this is to use the low beam H4 kit and install the XENON HID light system kit into the auxiliary lights of your vehicle. This way, you will still have full High beam functionality and will increase the effectiveness of your auxiliary lights.
